You can run for Congress whether or not you live in the district.

If you want, you can run for a Congressional seat in Maine. There is no constitutional requirement that the Member of Congress live in their own district.

However, I just don't believe anyone will vote for someone who not only doesn't live in their own congressional district, but ran a campaign to represent the congressional district next door.

The idea here isn't to shop around until you get elected to one.

Thanks for the explanation. It may not become an issue though, as it appears the MSM (SDUT)
is characterizing him as a "Carlsbad Republican." (full article posted above)
