While I admit that Page's solos were choppy and not great he did create some of the greatest riffs in Rock. Randy Rhodes was freakin awesome as was Van Halen.

Without a doubt. The layered guitar riff laden thunder driven by John P Jone's bass lines is absolutely inmpossible to beat. Consider that, in my opinion there would be no heavy metal (heart, great white, etc., etc., etc.,) without page. Based on guitarists who've inspired and been copied, he stands alone. I suggest a listen to Achilles Last Stand for those in doubt.
