It was, and I was not ready for college at the time.
Live and learn.
It is quite a bit to your credit that you even got accepted. I scored near 250 in the NYS Regents test, so I got accepted at a couple really good schools.
But I never cared for the toil and grind of standard academia. Yes, I understand why there's good reason not to spend your lifetime trying to trisect an angle. But the college environment IMHO discourage fringe ideas.
Even though the biggest breakthroughs in history have always come from the fringe elements.
