I am very disappointed that my daughter has decided not to have children. But, I am respecting her choice. She is a truly dedicated teacher, who has a true "calling" to the profession.

She, weeping desperately, told me one day that she couldn't see giving up teaching to raise her family, and also couldn't see how she could do a good job as a mother, and handle the 12 hour a day job that her teaching job demands.

I told her that she could look at her teaching as a form of nurturing children and young people. I hope you would agree.

Well, it is not how I would counsel my daughters, nor is it how I would teach on the subject of biblical Christian home. I assume that your daughter is married. What does her husband say?

As a former teacher, I must say that it doesn't require 12 hr days. If she were an associate in a law firm, yeah. But teacher? No.
