Rev. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, says it's "an absolute revolt against God's design" if husbands and wives purposely avoid bearing children.
On his Web site and other articles and interviews, Mohler argues that "marriage, sex and children are part of one package" and that "to deny any part of this wholeness is to reject God's intention in creation and his mandate revealed in the Bible."
In a CNN interview, the Baptist leader added, We grow up by having children. Without that responsibility, we have a generation of perpetual adolescents just growing old."

"You don't have to like it bro., but the Bible does say to judge things, and be wise."
LOL, you shouldn't apply the "be wise" caveat.
As for disliking it, no way. I find it highly amusing that so many people feel themselves so perfect as to be qualified to sit in judgment of others.

I suspect that Mr. Mohler was not referring to people unable to have children.

When you accuse others of judging
aren't you judging them?

It's not about being perfect.
So why are YOU judging other people if you think it's something that should not be done?????

Yeah, but I'm actually single by choice. I've just got better things to do with my time.
And I don't suspect that FReepers have a significantly higher divorce rate than any other segment of the population. We just have a place to post about it.

:) - well I suppose to most I would be .... and to some not at all....
I do know that I wasn't offended by the thought that it may be a sin for CHRISTIAN people to make choices for themselves - rather than seeking the will of God.
After we had our first son - we truly planned on only the one.. our lives were a perfect little package. Then with all the preventions short of surgery - I became pregnant again - and lost that little guy to our great sorrow. So our second son was planned... thankfully this time by both God and us.
I waited MANY years to finally stay home - and without going into all the details as to HOW God finally showed me it was time to give up career and stay home... I heeded what I feel is His will for me and my family and became a stay at home mom at age 45... and my youngest son 16. I know there are times I regret that lost time - but also know God knows my heart so I'm not too rattled by it.. ;-)

So seriously that you try to impose your interpretation of it on others? You may have actually missed some of His words.

Why are you calling him "so-called"?
I'm not a Southern Baptist, but I don't see any reason to denigrate the man.
