Childlessness A Sin, Southern Baptist Leader Says

Rev. R. Albert Mohler, Jr., the president of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, says it's "an absolute revolt against God's design" if husbands and wives purposely avoid bearing children.
On his Web site and other articles and interviews, Mohler argues that "marriage, sex and children are part of one package" and that "to deny any part of this wholeness is to reject God's intention in creation and his mandate revealed in the Bible."
In a CNN interview, the Baptist leader added, We grow up by having children. Without that responsibility, we have a generation of perpetual adolescents just growing old."

My attitude is that my salvation is between myself and my God. You and your reverend aren't in the equation anywhere
I'm starting to wonder if your salvation
is in the equation.

Her husband is also a teacher, and is reluctant to have children. This adds to her pain and conflict.

Do you have any facts to back up your stupid statement. This is a highly educated man who is simply stating the truth.

Oh I know anything is possible. Besides, I have taken care of many people's kids for years. Many whose parents did not mature and lost their parental rights. Mohler just doesn't have the tact or skill to say what needs to be said for some without alienating a good portion of his fellow brethren.
I choose to remain single and in God's will over getting married just to get married and have children. I could have gone against God's will and gotten married when I was younger but I paid attention to the red flags and I thank God every day for saying no.
Instead I served in missions for several years in Hawaii.

LOL! To put things in perspective...what you wonder makes no difference whatsoever. Tell me, do you put as much effort into your own faith as you try to push onto others?

I'm keeping my naughty bits to myself. At least you're willing to do it the right way; I'm 23, also, and I have three kids...There's a lot less misery than you'd think. ;-)

How about adding a "Hillbilly Preacher" alert to that headline?
Why don't you add dunce to your screen name?

Then why are you posting on this thread? To be left alone, all that you have to do is leave.

Ok, secondary school math, with over 100 students, some extremely bright and pre-calc, some needing a lot of remedial help... this for 8 years, grading papers at night, preparing lesson plans....
Now, she is chairman of math education for an urban school system, responsible for all math programming grades 1-12, with many different schools to supervise... and she still teaches 3 classes.
Now maybe you understand that 12 hours is a good day... she works weekends and summers too.

The progesterone in birth control pills creates a thick cervical mucus making it difficult for sperm to reach the uterus. It also impedes an egg from attaching itself to the uterine lining (endometrium) because of changes in the cellular structure of the lining.
