"Why The San Fransisco Chronicle Is Useful Only For Bird Cages"

Aww... I can think of at least one other use for the SFC!

"In some ways, Alito's taciturn approach to questions about the great constitutional issues of our time was similar to that of Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr."

And, they forgot to say, every other nominee in the past 50 years.

Should change title of article to Why The SF Chronicle is the Wrong Choice for a Newspaper.

But the distinction between the history of the two judges -- and the role of the justice they were nominated to replace -- are important.

This is the exact type of sentence that only a self-important dumbass could write or "understand".

"-- and the role of the justice they were nominated to replace "

I'm sorry, could someone please point to where it says in the constitution that the supreme court will be composed of 9 members, no fewer than 5 of those being leftist?

"Consider the source."

I do. That's why I consider it to be one of Judge Alito's strongest endorsements. If they are against it, it must be good.

Quote:

"It really is hard not to gloat following last week's hearings."

It is hard not to gloat, but its premature. It doesn't matter how out of touch the dems looked during last week's hearings. They will still find a way to fillibuster Alito. They are simply roping the Republicans in before dropping the hammer with all this talk of allowing a vote. You can bet that they will come up with some outrageous reason to support a fillibuster that will not even pass the straight face test, but has that stopped them in the past? (See for example, Gore, Albert, Election, 2000, Florida, "every vote should count. . .in counties I select.") The MSM, despite already having declared the dems efforts as being silly, will jump into action, forgetting what they wrote or reported the week before and give the dems as much cover as can be had.

What will the Republicans do? That is the question. Lets hope the answer has the words nuclear and/or constitutional in it somewhere.

"Hey, she's a flaming liberal and we don't respect her sponsor in the least but we'll respect the decision of the US president in nominating her, and the Constitution. Hey `bird-lady--don't answer any questions that make you uncomfortable. OK, let's vote. 96-3, you're in."

Now the left's arguments are usually reactionairy and void of any logic but what pray tell are they basing this MSM/DNC talking point that a nominee must look, think, act and ajudicate in the precise manner of the person they are nominated to replace has really got to be one of their biggest stretches yet. Funny though how I never heard that prerequeset before Bush was President.

This is the best endorsement Alito could ask for to have the SF fag rag voice objection. (can I say fag?) or should I have said queer?

This is real difficult it was a lot easier when we could just say fag, fairy, queer. Back then everyone knew we were talking about someone with an alternative life style of a homosexual nature. Who was just seeking equality and the right to shove their divergent life style into our normal mundane lives. Oh well we try (sarc off)
