Ted Kennedy: Almost a Green Bay Packer?
http://kennedy.senate.gov/~kennedy/biography.html ^ | 1/17/06

From Teddy's official Senate page:

On November 20, 1955, in a 21-7 defeat to Yale, Harvard's lone score came on a low five-yard pass that was snared by #88, the Junior Right End Ted Kennedy.

Just one month earlier, Kennedy's promise on the football field had caught the notice of Green Bay Packer Head Coach Lisle Blackbourn. "You have been very highly recommended to us by a number of coaches in your area and also by our talent scouts as a possible Pro Prospect," Blackbourn wrote to the young Right End.

Kennedy declined the offer, saying he was flattered, but that he had plans to attend law school and to 'go into another contact sport, politics'.

I find it interesting this 'interested coach' didn't even know what position Ted played.

Yeah, Ted Kennedy was so high on their list that they actually ask him in the letter "what position do you play?"

"You have been very highly recommended to us by a number of coaches in your area and also by our talent scouts as a possible Pro Prospect,"

But Ted instead went on to be the first Triathelete - drive, swim and lie.

I think if he responded to the first letter, the second letter would have asked him to provide his checking account and transfer authorization so they could send him his first paycheck.

He was as about much a Packer prospect as Gov. Bill Richardson was a major league baseball player.

Bwahahahaha...By the way, it figures, the then coach of the Packers, Lisle Blackbourn, had a team record of something like 17-31-0.

I much rather he would have went to GB and lose a few teeth or blow a knee out than go on to kill Mary Jo and then try to ruin the country.

Be sure to note the third tit Teddy's trying to grow under his arm.

Can someone make out the name that was crossed out to put in 'Ted'?
