OMG!
So I guess a lot of workers in America are slaves according to Sharpton's criteria because they don't agree with their boss's decisions.
Hmmm. I never knew the corporation I worked for was run like a Plantation. The things I learn on Free Republic. LOL

Seriously, the "plantation" analogy just doesn't work.
Plantations are not generally associated with "secretive decisions" anymore than they are associated with "fine French cooking" or "trumpet solo."

The Clintons brought Al Sharpton on to their plantation so they could use him to get votes in New York.

I'm happier than Sharpton is that The Hildebeast is adopting his ideas. I wish her as much luck as he had in his run for the presidency. It is hard to realize how truly ignorant he is.

My boss makes decisions. I guess I'm on a plantation also. I demand reparations!

Al Sharpton is very possibly the single most fatuous character in American public life; he all but wears a red rubber nose and bright orange hairpiece wherever he goes. In any case, he's the perfect reverse barometer - if he says Hillary's right, it can be taken as a matter of certainty that she's not only wrong, she's wildly wrong.
To: rdb3
"Any time you have a situation where, because of seniority and cloakroom politics, the bosses make the decisions - that's tatamount to [a] plantation," he insisted. Am I missing something - don't bosses make most decisions in MOST areas - political and otherwise? Doesn't seniority come in to play in MOST areas - political and otherwise?

There is a plantation system in America today.
It is run by the Dems and the NAACP and its slaves are the myriad people of color who have bought into the whole welfare scheme of things. Take your free pittance from the Government and now go vote for your masters...the dims.....
They have turned generations of former productive citizens into beggars and ne'er do wells....
