For all the overheated talk of fraud in Wisconsin's last presidential election particularly in Milwaukee one incident stands out and demands significant punishment. Those who slashed the tires of 25 rented vans and cars at the GOP headquarters in Milwaukee the morning of the 2004 election may have prevented hundreds of people from voting.

From the article:

The Republican Party of Wisconsin has exaggerated the extent of voting problems in the last presidential election to bolster its misguided attempt to require all citizens to show photo identification cards at the polls. Some in the GOP also want to do away with same-day voter registration, which would squelch voter turnout more.

SHEEEESH!!!!! Media bias at its best (worst?)!!! Dims get caught at thuggery, but in order to report upon it, they need to blast Repubs!

I hear you! We've got rags like that in KY as well.

This story just kills me. If this had been a case of "Get out the Vote for Al" tires being slashed in 2000 Florida, the national press would be 24/7 calling for Congressional hearings. "DISENFRANCHISEMENT!" would be the call. Well here we don't have a "possible" or "theoretical" wrong; this is the real deal.

Whadayya think of Cong. Moore's son's name? You gotta be kidding. He actually expects to go through life with a moniker like that and not get laughed at - while residing in Wisconsin?

I wonder what it means? "Great and good tire slasher?"

It's okay to ask for ID for anything else (banking, flying on an airliner, video rentals, etc), but not for voting!
