Evolution doesn't address the origin of life, no matter how many times it's accused of that.

Of course it does -- no matter how many times "it" denies it.

"Evolution doesn't address the origin of life, no matter how many times it's accused of that."

That is probably why Darwin wrote his thesis and called it "The origin of species."

I guess the education establishment must be doing a mighty poor job of teaching this science. Else, why this common misconception after having a generation to teach evolution to American students?

It cetainly did in the late 1960s. Are you too younger to remember the prinordial soup explanation in school text books? Evolutionists now petend evolution never addressed the origin of life because they now know that abiogenesis is impossible. the fact that evolutionists refuse to address thye origins of life is a de facto admission that life is not a result of random chance.

Both Theistic Evolution and Old Earth creationism are much more compatible both with Genesis and Science than Darwinism, or Young Earth Creationism.
