put bluntly: everywhere you look among the living and the dead, there they are.
Actually I was wondering why transitional species are all
fossilized that there are few examples ,microbes being one,
of present day transitional species.

Dang zombies anyway:)
"put bluntly: everywhere you look among the living and the dead, there they are."
'Blunt' ain't science. There are no transitional species, if there were, the Darwinsits would be lifting them up high and trumpeting to the world that they've discovered the "Holy Grail of Evolution". When it's a myth , and you know it's a myth, only one reason remains for propagating the lie.... it's an anti-Christian, anti-religion movement fueled mainly by the liberals, atheists, socialists and communists of the world.
Darwinism is dead, it cannot and will not ever be proven. All that supports this ridiculous 'science' is one lie after another after another. But I have no illusions, when Darwinism finally falls on it's slithering face and its head is crushed by the Truth, it will be replaced by another insideous assault on Christianity, some other lie which will also meet with its doom.
So where are the trasitional species?
They are being found wherever paleontologists are digging. In China lightly build feathered dinosaurs appear transitional to archeopterix which appears transitional to birds, as one example. Forty million years of whale evolution has been traced through a number of species from a land walking animal to the one that swallowed Jonah. The formation of fossils is very rare as most dead are eaten or rot before they fossilize. Thousands of deer drop antlers in our woods every year. Why don't we find many? Because they are eaten for their calcium content by mice, etc.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
Missing evidence of the earliest forms is probably a combination of the soft bodied earlier forms (fossil jelly fish anyone?), and catastrophic meteor strikes (at least 3) before the first hard calcium structure beings developed 1/2 billion years ago. Check out the web sites about Meteor Impact Crater. Scary stuff.
