Hillary Clinton Blasts GOP 'Plantation'

NEW YORK -- Sounding a little like a preacher, a fired-up Sen. Hillary Clinton lambasted the Bush administration and the Republican-controlled Congress during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day event, predicting the presidency "will go down in history as one of the worst" and saying the House of Representatives is run like a "plantation" where dissenting voices are squelched.

"When you look at the way the House of Representatives has been run, it has been run like a plantation, and you know what I'm talking about," Clinton, D-N.Y., told the crowd at the Canaan Baptist Church of Christ in Harlem. "It has been run in a way so that nobody with a contrary view has had a chance to present legislation, to make an argument, to be heard."

Speaking to a group of Hurricane Katrina evacuees in the audience, Clinton offered an apology "on behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you." Her remarks were met with thunderous applause.

I think that her and her husband will go down in history as the worst administration ever. They did a lot of nasty things to a lot of innocent people and pimped out the White-house as if it were a bathhouse. The two Clinton pigs will say and do anything if it helps them gain wealth and power.

This would be equivalent to Germany blaming America for the Holocaust.

I pray to god that American Black Voters can see through such pandering and be as insulted as I am that she would hijack a day of remembrance of a true civil rights leader and to insult the party that broke the chains of bondage upon them and voted overwhelmingly (far more then democrats) for there right to vote. The same party that the first Black congressman were proud members of and served well until democrats instituted jim crow laws and sat armed at polling booths to make sure NO ONE VOTED REPUBLICAN!. The same party that was proudly aligned with the Klan and lynched blacks and republicans. In fact sitting in the senate is a democrat who was a proud KLANSMAN!. And If she wants to talk about squelching out dissent in the house she needs to look at her parties record when they were the majority party and also look at there treatment to there parties moderates who wont fall into lockstep on the war.

If anyone knows anything about how to run the house like a plantation, it would be the plantation owners who thankfully are for now in the minority.

"Blast" is the right word, we were eating dinner when they showed a clip of her on the news, I had to look to see what she was screaming about.

Does she think that big, loud mouth is attractive? NOT in any way or form, presidential material. IS SHE TAKING LESSONS FROM HOWARD DEAN?

My God, has this woman no shame! Provoking race-baiting and hate-talk aginst the White House in order to pander to her audience...it's disgusting. She brings out the worst in people.

Grrrr, she disgusts me.

She forgot to mention how she worked for Goldwater while the Civil Rights Act was being debated.

Speaking to a group of Hurricane Katrina evacuees in the audience, Clinton offered an apology "on behalf of a government that left you behind, that turned its back on you."

The only person who would say such things is one who believes her audience is too stupid to learn the facts. Her contempt for black people is, frankly, embarassing; she assumes they don't know how Congress is run, how legislation is put together, and that no Republican would ever co-sponsor one of her socialist proposals, so therefore nothing she ever proposes would be brought up before the committees and then the senate itself.

That this woman of negligable accomplishment, who has as many television cameras and reporters as she wants, at any time, day or night, can get up and complain that one with a contrary view cannot be heard, is embarassing in her scheming. You can almost hear her thinking "They love this victim stuff."

And it is only someone who believes in an all-encompassing government, a fan of totalitarianism, who can look at the facts about the failures of her party in New orleans and Louisiana (and LA representatives in the House and Senate) and claim that "the government" left people behind, thus abdicating all responsibility for individuals to get out of harm's way.

We keep hearing over and over and over again from liberals and liberal blacks especially about how they value "community" and helping out their neighbors. But when the time came for libs and blacks in New Orleans to help out their neighbors, what did they do? They ran, left old people to drown, and stole.

Sorry if that's too blunt for these PC times, but on MLK Say, I think it would be dishonoable of me to lie about the truth of liberal black America.

She should take notes from Margret Thatcher, who was the true Iron Lady. Shrill isn't strong and gender doesn't make a lady.

When are the republicans going to start fighting back?

During "plantation times", the democrats, both north and south, were fighting the republican efforts to end slavery?

I had the misfortune of watching this on the local news last night. She sounded shrill and out of touch. Even the church-goers momentarily went silent when she made her plantation comment.

What makes matters even worse is that the interviewed Al Sharpton, and played his "defense" of her plantation comment.
