It would serve him right if Whites stayed the h*ll OUT of the 'new new orleans' just to let it FAIL and have him then crying "racism" that Whites don't 'want to contribute'.

I live in south La. and heard this on FOX today. I am so appalled and disgusted. I've been fuming all day! I had the same reaction...if a non-african american said such things they'd be blasted from here to kingdom come. The craziest part is that he wants a chocolate city but he wants the rest of us to pay for it. Well, let him have his city and cut off any more of my state or federal tax dollars from paying for another thing. Heck, let them secede. Let Jesse jackson come in and help them rebuild and they can be their own little kings in their own little kingdom. I never much liked New Orleans anyway except for the D Day Museum, the Aquarium and the Zoo. Let them have their rotten poverty stricken city and do with it what they want...just dont use the money of tax-paying, law-abiding abiding citizens from the rest of the state and country. Plan B.....pour the concrete and call it a day.
Thanks for listening to my rant.....I feel better now.

Doesn't he know that chocolate is obtained by oppression of the South Americans? For shame.
To: HiTech RedNeck
They're only doing the job (white) South Americans won't.

Levees made of pure nougat. ...or perhaps GIANT 'Kit-Kat' bars. Efficient, and tasty.

For those not old enough to remember, "chocolate city" was a term used by blacks back in the 60s and 70s. It meant that "once we vote or force whitey off the city council, the mayor's office, the school board, police department, etc., all our problems will disappear (since whitey's the cause of all the problems). And we've seen how well that all went. Just look at inner city Detroit, Atlanta, Washington DC -- and New Orleans. Dysfunctional hellholes all.

The problem New Orleans has is that there's no govt cash flow to be able to afford welfare payments, a lot of the housing stock is gone, and what insurance company and mortgage grantor is going to want to build there?
The only parts of New orleans that make sense in 2006 are the French Quarter, plus housing for the people who need to work in the Port of New Orleans
