Looks like Pancoast is getting it from all sides now, including official attention. "The state Department of Health Services audited the couples income on Friday."
It isn't the IRS, but it is a start.
How do you spell "work"? I'm sick of the do-gooders feeling sorry for losers.
Sad.
Kinda punches a hole in the liberal argument that no one voluntarily becomes a beggar.
""Im a third Cherokee, and my ancestors slept outside"
A third? This woman is a pathological liar.
"Johnson said he likes his vagabond life. "Im just traveling," he said. "Nothing holds you down. It makes you feel free.""
Then let him starve until he gets a job. I have refused to give ANY money to beggars for several years now.
Hangin around this dirty old town
Singin for nickles and dimes
Times get rough
I aint got enough
To buy me a bottle of wine
Oh!
I wonder what kind of reaction this article would get if posted on DU. I'm not volunteering, though!
Done layed around,
Done stayed around,
This old town too long,
And I feel like I gotta move along.
"Im a third Cherokee"
How does one go about becoming one third Cherokee, or anything for that matter? I can do the math in my head to get full blood, half, a quarter, and an eighth, but not one third.
Owl_Eagle(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
Making less? His take is down because of the revelation that some beggars do this as a full time job and make more than some people actually WORKING full time. Poor baby.
>>that they have been making less.<<
Correction, deadbeats. You aren't MAKING anything!
Living homeless in Ashland, Jenah Dodge, 20, left, who says she is pregnant, gets a hug from Seanna Sharp, 18, in front of Ashland Bakery and Cafe Sunday. Mail Tribune / Andrew Mariman
Samson said she earns what she needs to survive
What an arrogant fool!
It is, if someone else is working to earn it.
"Cliff, who said the most that anyone he knows makes is about $50 a day, said other homeless people also have complained to him that they have been making less."
Well that does it!
What these folks need is a UNION!
quote from article "Johnson said he likes his vagabond life. "Im just traveling," he said. "Nothing holds you down. It makes you feel free.""
ROFL ! there is the real truth. They choose to be homeless.
Of course they would never allow you to show this article over on DU, the truth is to scary for them.
In Boston some of them jangle their plastic cups right in your face and get in your way as you walk down the sidewalk. I have literally pushed some of them out of the way, and in one case swatted the guy's money cup out of his hand. A 20-something wearing a pair of $150 Nikes and a LaCoste sweater. Just shameless.
Of course, a lot of people here just love them. They'll run across the street to put money in the cup, or buy them a latte and a sandwich from Starbucks. As Milton Friedman said, if you want to get more of something, just subsidize it. For some bizarre reason, liberals love having panhandlers around. Maybe they see it as a career option for themselves.
That's what I make on a real job before taxes and such. Sounds like he's smarter than I am.
I wonder if the Pancoasts get food stamps, school lunches, medical help and other government assistance along with their $50,000 tax free income.
