My book was all about avenging evil. Then the King of Hollywood got hold of it...And got the Queen of Hollywood, Tony Kushner, to write the screenplay.

If you read the post carefully you might discover that he did not "sign up" with these distortionists (e.g.Spielberg and company). The rights to make a movie based on his book had already been sold years ago. Once sold, the author really gives up control for it is property he no longer owns. They simply bought the rights to make a movie from the parties who owned that right. Note, the author of the book did not even know who owned the rights because it had changed hands a number of times. It took an investigation to discover who owned the rights to make the film.
As a courtesy [read damage control] they kept the author of Vengence "in the loop" so that he would not disrupt the public relations and marketing efforts. Note they did not allow him to read the script nor to be anywhere near the production.

One has to be able to look evil in the eye and call it evil.
The movie makers obviously lack that ability.

I just saw this movie last night, and I did NOT see all the so-called moral equivalency that people are screaming about
I saw an honest attempt to portray people as people
By the way, the movie makes it clear: THE JEWS ARE THE GOOD GUYS!! The Jewish soldiers and athletes are heros in the movie, show genuine bravery, spare the lives of innocents who could have been just shot dead with total acceptance for the situation but were spared due to a strong morality on the part of the Jewish Soldiers...
This movie is NOT some anti-semitic screed

He brings to the screen an adolescent's fresh eye: that's his strength. He also brings an adolescent's naïve confusion: that's his weakness. I once heard Spielberg proudly call himself "Peter Pan". This was in a TV interview. I kid you not.

Would someone please read this and give us a short book report on it.

The author basically says he was not in the loop as far as the screenplay, he never read the script. The principles went through 5 or 6 writers before they found one to deliver the desired slant. He didn't even own the movie rights. The prima donnas even asked him not to come to LA for the original screening because they feared he would not agree with the tone since it diverged so much from the book. They were afraid he would say so to the press if asked.
I think he just sees the process for the b.s. that it is and says so in SO MANY WORDS....
