As long as there are trust fund babies wanting us to comply, the NYT will find someone to pay for them

Be interesting to see how the TIMES responds to this "error". My guess is they will ignore it.

I can verify that this is a 152mm or 155mm artillery shell unfired and by the looks of it, fairly old.If the round was unfired, the rifling bands would not have rifling marks cut into them. Look at the copper band near the base of the round.

More fakery from Pallywood....you would think at least one person at the Times has read about the Muslims' propaganda campaigns and their repeated use of staged and doctored photographs to draw sympathy from the Western press....but no...this is the New York Times, America's worst newspaper.

Reminds me of the "Baby Milk Factory" and the 2000 year old Mosque which had steel rebar sticking out of the rubble from the earlier part of the Iraq conflict.
PROPAGANDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, but the headline is misleading. The picture wasn't faked like it was photoshopped. Just the person who wrote the caption is an idiot. (And if they directed the men to stand up the old shell for a picture, then it's deception.)

When I first saw the pictuer what I noticed right away was the rifling on the seal band for sealing the round against the inside of the tube. I don't know what all those things are called but when I saw that I also remembered reading about drone missiles and I have seen plenty of pictures of sparrows and sidewinders and others and that thing just did not look like any sort of a rocket. It looked kind of like the old deactivated 55 mm arty round I had in my shop for years.
