No word on whether Ozzy Osborn's son Jack (who believes that marijuana use led him to try harder drugs) was involved.

Also, Pearl Street Mall is the biggest collection of weirdos I've ever seen, anywhere.
Burnouts everywhere and a mix of very wealthy leftist types. Someplace I can promise I'll never go to again.

No, it's all open mostly. The only place else that comes close is Fry Street in Denton, TX.
Let me put it this way, hippies and kooks everywhere.

You are, of course, aware that Ronald Reagan basically created the modern WOD by expanding the DEA, and Nixon's initial efforts, right?

Guess my sarcasm wasn't that obvious.
Yes, I know all about Ronald Reagan and his tough stance on illegal drugs. Intervention and incarceration works well indeed. Nancy's "just say no" effort for children and teenagers worked well too. For the most part, America's National Drug Control Policy has been a success. And it was Nixon who created the Controlled Substances Act of 1970. The term "war on drugs" is only used by the pro-drug legalization contingent of libertarians and lost souls.

Wow, look, more people thrown in jail for doing absolutely nothing wrong.
Cheer on the police state, "conservatives."

LOL, nothing wrong.
They are criminals.

You mean a covered plaza like area? The Pearl Street Mall is about a three block section of Pearl Street which was blocked to auto traffic. The buildings are nice generally renovated older buildings, it is one of the oldest areas of town. Its actually a nice place with upscale shops.
The afore-mentioned weirdos are part of the experience. They are generally harmless musicians who play for money, (hopefully for more music lessons), and general homeless bums who hang out on the only grassy area outside the City Hall building.
Similar places include Quincy Market in Boston, and Santa Cruz, California.
