Sen. Kennedy to Publish Children's Book

Meet the latest children's author, Sen. Ted Kennedy, and his Portuguese Water Dog, Splash, his co-protagonist in "My Senator and Me: A Dogs-Eye View of Washington, D.C." Scholastic Inc. will release the book in May. "I am very excited about the opportunity to create a book for young readers and their families that will deepen their understanding of how our American government works," Kennedy said in a statement Monday issued by Scholastic. According to Scholastic, Kennedy's book "not only takes readers through a full day in the Senator's life, but also explains how a bill becomes a law." Kennedy, a Massachusetts Democrat, was inspired to write the book from his work with a Washington-based reading program, "Everybody Wins!" Kennedy's net proceeds will be donated to charity.

Does the dog ever mistake drunken Teddy on his knees vomiting from drinking too much for a fire hydrant?

If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagen, he'd be President today

It floats.

The way our body is built, we'd be surprised if it didn't. The sheet of flat steel that goes underneath every Volkswagen keeps out water, as well as dirt and salt and other nasty things that can eat away at the underside of a car. So it's watertight at the bottom. And everybody knows it's easier to shut the door on a Volkswagen after you've rolled down the window a little.

That proves it's practically airtight on top. If it was a boat, we could call it the Water Bug. But it's not a boat, it's a car.

And, like Mary Jo Kopechne, it's only 99 and 44/100 percent pure. So it won't stay afloat forever. Just long enough. Poor Teddy. If he'd been smart enough to buy a Volkswagen, he never would have gotten into hot water.

I understand that they hire "ghost" writers to do this. I've read where Hitlery did and they even gave the name of the author. So NO big deal except to the MSM relying millions.

(the book) "not only takes readers throught a full day in a senator's life . . ."

Wonder if there's anything in the book about a senator's "full day" in which he gets a young, female employee drunk then drives off a bridge and allows her to drown.
I'm guessing probably not/

takes readers through a full day in the Senator's life

So one could assume there is a chapter introducing the young reader to "happy hour"?

Meet the latest children's author, Sen. Ted Kennedy, and his Portuguese Water Dog, Splash, his co-protagonist in "My Senator and Me: A Dogs-Eye View of Washington, D.C." Scholastic Inc.......

CORRECTION:

"My Drunk Senator and Me: A Dogs-Eye View of Washington, D.C."
Very appropriate to call it "A Dog-Eye View" since the old alcoholic whale probably spends most of his time on the floor eye to eye with the dog.......
