Is this what we really want to do? Seems like this is an old issue and although a big deal to many of us here, it may seem as though we're muckraking to bring this up. Besides, if there is even a mere hint of it in the MSM it will be damaging enough to Murtha's reputation.

For the Reps to dig in on this, would appear cheap in my opinion.

I've seen most of the threads on this guy Don Bailey.It's compelling, but how can we know it's true?

The way I see it, Murtha is an EX-Marine, he turned his back on the Corps.It's as if he had no military service at all.

But,if we want to demand he sign a SF180 and release his medical records, that's fair game.We have to be prepared to listen to the "How dare you question my patriotism" crap.But so what? We know that drill.

If Murtha is proud of his service,he has nothing to hide.

IF (and that remains to be proven) Murtha has lied about his service (and that service is what helped get him elected..where he continues to undermine the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan)..then it needs to be explored.

Showing the entire Nation that one of the most vocal critics of the present policy in Irag....has lied about something as simple as the receiving of Purple Hearts ...would help our effort there.

...and help to drive the stake into the heart of the Democrats/Liberals that still exist.

...and I am a Vietnam Vet who also has two Purple Hearts. 1st one sent me to a 'local' hospital to recover. The 2nd sent me stateside to Walter Reed for surgery and recovery.

You will find that most honest Vietnam Vets do NOT use their Purple Hearts (or any other medals for that matter) to further their careers.

You WILL find the liars do.
