Another good reason not to like country music.

Clinton's encouragement: "You run for senator, Tim, and let me take care of Faith."

Will the "shut up and sing" crowd come out for this one? Or, as is the case when the celebrity in question happens to agree with us, ie: Ted Nugent, James Woods, Ron Silver, etc, will he be showered with praise? Stay tuned.

I don't have the article, but when I heard this little story and what McGraw planned to do once in office, I nearly choked. Basically, he wanted to run because "he wanted to do stuff and change stuff." Well, he sold me.

8-0

LOL... I love Laura Ingraham, but why does she praise conservative celebrities who speak their minds? Speaking out is either wrong or it isn't.

Frankly I think the leftist celebs have done more to promote conservatism than the GOP ever did. Those people are loons. Stay in politics, Hollywierd!

Maybe McGraw would mandate that everyone dresses like a fake cowboy. And Faith can mandate that every woman dress like a pre-teen's Barbie doll.

one of his main reasons for wanting to enter politics is Clinton, whom he calls "the best president we ever had."

This man must have the IQ of a rock.

I always thought that McGraw looked like he was dense. Now, his actions confirm my suspicion.

This is very disappointing. I always thought country music was sort of the last hold out for entertainters that were mostly Republican. Not all but most of them. Well I sure was wrong.

What a disappointment. I like his music. I used to listen to the Dixie Chicks too.

In his case, he should just "shut up". I believe this is the fool who said that Clinton should be king.

Please, there's no need to insult rocks. Rocks are our friends.

Here are some choice gems I located on Tim McGraw and his potential candidacy:

From Herr Schlick Wilhelm of the Stained Pants:

"I think he's got it, the Democrats need candidates whom people can relate to in a personal way, people who understand their lives and their concerns and share their values. And I think that's something Tim can do without even pretending."

Yessum, I know I can relate to vacuous overrated country-music stars married to Barbie dolls as being just like me.

More from Albert Einstein McGraw:

(While running for the Senate remains an option, the Louisiana native seems more interested in the governor's office.)

"It's more of a leadership role, and I think that's something that I'd do well," he said. "That doesn't rule out senator; I just think that as governor of a state, especially where I live, there would be a lot more opportunities to make some decisions and change some things."

Yessirree, if Big Timmy gets to be our own Goobaner here in the Volunteer State, he'll have opportunities to make some decisions and change some things. With a platform like that, how could he lose ? Yup, it appears that Timmy has managed to do the impossible, he makes George Clooney look like Professor Stephen Hawking.
