(AP) ROSEVILLE A federal grand jury has indicted a former Roseville medical marijuana distributor on drug and money laundering charges.
A 19-count indictment says Richard James Marino grossed two-point-seven-five (m) million dollars in the eight months in 2004 when he operated his medical marijuana store, Capitol Compassionate Care.

Data too fuzzy
Dopers talk crap.
Thank you for dispassionate information. I will read it.
DU is about as pro-drug as you can get. Off you go..
What is a person pushing big-government anticonstitutional totalitarianism doing on Free Republic?
Yet for some reason no Democrat will go public as anti-WoD, even though they take far more dangerous positions (pro-homosexuality, for example) without hesitation. The reason for this is that they realize that the WoD is key to the domestic power they crave - it sets all the precedents they need to send their political opponents to jail without trial.
That's a pretty uneducated, unfounded opinion you have there.
You're ugly and stupid, so there.
(I can do this all day if you like - or we can go back to discussing the issue.)
No, I'm done. You have nothing of interest to offer. Maybe if you used some drugs you might make more sense or offer something. Or maybe the opposite? Depends on you.
I knew you were done when you abandoned reason for name-calling in the first place, which is straight out of the "How to Debate Dishonestly" playbook.
You obviously weren't serious about the topic either. Leftwingers are the biggest pro-drug people outside of the anarchism found in extreme Libertarianism.
I'm quite serious about this topic. Not only is the WoD an affront to the Constitution but it is also an immense waste of money, as well as the biggest gift possible to drug smugglers.
If you want to refute my assertion then tell me, if left-wingers are the biggest pro-drug people, why don't any left-wing elected officials oppose the WoD?
"DISCLAIMER: I will occasionally post something intelligent, insightful, and/or witty. Please humor me the other 99% of the time. "
You give yourself too much credit. I'll 'humor' you. They just haven't in the USA too much, yet. However, look at the states and cities that push it mostly. Denver, California, Oregon.
Look at the countries. Leftwing UK, Holland, and Canada are the leaders.
You're cherry-picking data to support a predetermined conclusion, not drawing a conclusion from the data. If it were a left-wing thing, where is Massachusetts in your list? Why no such movement in New York, or Vermont, or the overwhelmingly left-wing Washington DC? Germany and France are more left-wing than the Netherlands and Canada and the UK, yet neither of them are legalizing.
"Left wing = pro legalization" doesn't add up. And for good reason! Left wing means totalitarian more often than not, and the WoD is an excellent tool for totalitarians.
We've lost far more liberties to the WoD than to the WoT - besides, if you're not a terrorist, what do you care?
More than a "cult of potheads" care about pot. Hemp makes top-notch clothing and rope, and competing industries sure do care. Medical pot has been shown to work for many people, and pharmaceuticals stand to lose big if a plant takes a goodly chunk of their market share in pain relief. And alcohol companies also stand to lose if there is an legal alternative to their product, as well.
And, as I am certain you didn't know, the Constitution itself is printed on hemp paper, which makes it a controlled substance under WoD law.
If you really cared about enforcing laws, then the first one to enforce is the highest - the Constitution - which forbids the government from passing the kinds of laws that you support so fervently.
"We've lost far more liberties to the WoD than to the WoT - besides, if you're not a terrorist, what do you care? "
If you're not a pothead, what do you care? And if you are a criminal pothead, I don't care about your arguments and rants.
You lose.
Sarcasm doesn't exist in your native language, does it?
I just gave you plenty of reasons to care, as a normal non-pothead taxpayer and citizen. Must suck to go through life with an IQ as low as yours.
You've got to be kidding about the clothes/rope. First, it makes ratty nasty clothes. And as far as I know, there's no rope shortage. Maybe you can enlighten me on how paper/rope/clothing are in shortage and how hemp is actually needed in these cases.
You still lose, and you dig yourself into even more ridiculous lows with each post.
Uh, lemme see... waste more time with a dishonest idiot or not... hmmm... decisions, decisions...
