It's about time the Dems came up with an original idea, instead of yelling "Bush sucks." Perhaps the ideas won't be a rehash of HHH's lesser ideas that were rejected at the time, and will be rejected now.

Former Democratic President, B.J. Clinton's famous cigars were not purchased but were a gift from an admirer.
Is this the kind of thing the Demos are trying to clean up?

When the dims insist that their leaders have to step down when they are merely indicted - not convicted - of a wrong doing the way the pubs force their leaders to do, I'll be more impressed with their "reforms."
Although frankly, the pubs were idiots for not realizing that a set of rules that would only punish them would invite travesties like Ronnie Earle's persecution of DeLay. It's not even the persecution, it's having to give up DeLay's very effective leadership.

To truly clean things up they would have to eliminate themselves. That is my wish witch unfortunately won't come true.

I hope Republicans immediately pass a law like this. It will kill the Democrat party because it's CORRUPT leaders and constituents will no longer be on the pork gravy train. Thus ending their reason for being involved in politics in the first place.

Reid and Palosi come out STRONG for release of the Barret report. Oooooooooopps! Not THAT ethical! Don't look Ethyl!!!!!!!!

Republicans should have come out in front with an ethics reform package. They fumbled and passed the ball to the Democrats. No wonder they are the stupid party.

RATS shouldn't be making up the rules...
Why not?.... Maybe it will push the Republicans to take a serious look and expand upon what the Democrats propose. Any elimination of graft, bought and paid for congress critters and good 'ol back slapping I'll look the other way that can be done would be an improvement, imo. I would prefer the Repubs get on with it but if it takes the democrats to push them, then so be it.

Hey Harry, given Abramhoff back the $60,000 plus yet? What is your response to news reports that you are one of 5 law makers being targeted by the DOJ investigation?
