Email Addresses for Senators and Congressmen

I got a question for more learned amongst the Free Republic faithful.

I've been attempting to locate email addresses for numerous senators and congressmen. I discovered, to my chagrine and anger, that the House and Senate websites will only let me post an email to my congressman or senator only, and one no else.

Perhaps I can see some logic in doing this, but when a person has the desire to email more than just one person abnout a certain issue it makes it impossible to do so.

I just wondered if anyone out there has encountered this issue and knew of a way around this or knows of email addresses to senators and congressmen that I can't locate.

I think the creator of that website better check his information. The email addresses for Carson doesn't work and several other links send a person to the webpages that gave problems.

It's a little more current. Also, go to their downloads section and it appears as though you can download the entire list in CSV format.

This isn't guaranteed to be correct, and e-mail might bounce...but I took the ascii list from ftp://ftp.visi.com/users/juan/ContactingCongress.txt, and parsed it with a short shell script and came up with this (a list of ONLY those with e-mail addresses) -

I was surprised that more of them didn't use e-mail. I know for a fact that they are provided with it. I suspect that they don't people to have ready access to them. Imagine that! :-)
