It's been of late, the sound of storm
and wind and wave have bested me,
The night, the gloom have both conspired,
have harried, and tried and tested me,

But hand on helm, straight through we hold
the course, full knowing dawn shall rise,
glimmering diamonds dance the wake
a-shining like a dear lady's eyes,

Knights hold fast for acts of valor, and they
search the lands for valiant deeds,
they scour the moor and fell and fen
on foot or with their faithful steeds,

But no less noble, less brave, less true,
are those who venture upon the wave,
who hold the course and laugh in weather
that makes of others to weep or to rave,

So sail on, souls of the sea and the spray,
the storm holds no worry for once such as thee,
and landfall shall come with the dawn of the day,
who the winds of the world make wild and free.

Good Morning Troops and Canteeners.

Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. I ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen

May all of you have a blessed Sunday.

From ancient times
of mariners on stormy seas
before the mast
of lost, howling, ships a rollin'
seamen slipping, sliding,
grasping in the open air
for a hand hold finding nothing there

Lost in the wilderness of seas
fighting for sanity in a world
of insanity, grasping for the ray of light
guiding the rudderless ship to safety in the night
a pilot with a steady hand
a plan of action straight as the arrow flies
sailing forth to open sunny skies
star filled nights on calm seas
shrimp sunsets on the horizon
a harbinger of sun filled days
carefree lounging on the deck
and being captain of your own ship,
yes, a dream worthy of dreaming.
