I think this is not the end of this.

I think Rusher and other former participants in CAP are going to go after Kennedy and leftist thugs like PAW over this big time and rub their noses in it.

I think Kennedy may just be in for the Joe McCarthy treatment, but unlike Joe (who was tracking down real communists) Kennedy has actually killed people and broken laws. I think Chappaquidick is finally going to claim its own. Censure will be the least of it.

Senator Kennedy has never received the opprobrium he deserves for sending California Senator Tunney to the Soviet Union to tell the Marxist monsters not to worry about Ronald Reagan. The Senate would take care of him. Tunney not only met with Kremlin officials but with the KGB and passed along Kennedy's message. Talk about consorting with the enemy!

I wish I could agree, but I know my party well, and nothing will be done to Kennedy. He has put on a shameful display and attempted to destroy the reputation of a man who is an honest judge. But all the White House wants is a judge and will be unwilling to address any larger issues of how Republican nominees are treated by the radical left.

I understand that - it's good politics. But the next time the White House nominates a USSC judge it will be worse. But I think there is too much tolerance of the left, and too much assuming that all of our nominees will be slandered. It hasn't always been that way, and it needn't be. Pretty soon no one will agree to be nominated to the court because of what it will do to their reputation.

I think you're right.

Nobody will do anything more to Teddy than has been done to Bill and Hillary or Condit. Dems have a license to do anything they want in this society and a free media pass to "pass go" at will with a permanent "get out of jail" card.
