You bring up a great point. I scares me to think of what you would have to do to be considered a HIGH RISK offender in Vermont! This child was RAPED repeatedly for 4 years. My gosh, and they think treatment will help him! There is NO treatment for sex offenders, except a dirt nap.

What Vermont's aristocratic, out -of - touch judiciary doesn't understand about the people of Vermont is : Vermonters are prone to taking justice into their own hands.

I pity 34-year-old Mark Hulett because Vermonters inside prison and outside ( upon his release) will be a severe threat to his physical wellfare.

I heard Judge Napolitano, the other day on Fox's Gibson hour, state that this judge, by his statement that he no longer considers punishment to be of merit, has rejected one of the cannons of judicial conduct; whereby a person convicted of a crime is to be punished within state guidelines.

I don't know how this would play out in Vermont, but I would think there could be redress other than waiting for his review to come up (I think I got this right based on my memory).

What if the governor decides at that time that memories are short and this judge should be retained (or another governor is then in office)?
