A week before she died a violent death at the hands of her sadistic stepfather, a battered and forlorn Nixzmary Brown confided, "I wish my mommy and daddy were dead."
Perry Robinson will never forget those words — or any of the other unsettling encounters he had with the solitary, sad-faced 7-year-old in the park across from her family's apartment in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn.
The retired paralegal used to see Nixzmary in Tompkins Park while he played with his nieces and nephews — and he "was not surprised" when her lifeless, battered body was found naked on the floor of the apartment early this week.
He had seen the bruises on her painfully thin arms and legs, he had heard her stepfather order her to "get your f- - -ing ass over here," and he knew she was living in fear.
But still Robinson, 49, was shocked at police accounts of the torture the little girl had been subjected to — at charges that her stepfather, Cesar Rodriguez, regularly tied her to a chair, beat her with his hands and a belt, sexually assaulted her, and forced her to eat cat food and use a kitty litter box, while her mother, Nixzaliz Santiago, did nothing to help her.
"I should have taken her to the precinct," a guilt-ridden Robinson told The Post yesterday. "I should have said, 'Come on, let's go to the precinct.' "
Robinson recalled the first time he saw Nixzmary in the park. It was last September, and he was with his nieces and nephews, who live nearby.
"She was running back and forth like a normal 7-year-old," he said. "I noticed her when her father came to the stoop and shouted at her, 'Get your f- - -ing ass over here.'

This has to be one of the most heartbreaking news stories ever. I got to thinking....
This is why there should be some kind of mandatory sterilization act or something put into place to stop these animals form proliferating. And then I started to think of something else...
In America, there are bad neighborhoods. What makes neighborhoods bad? Put tow and two together and you come up with what is the problem in America today.
Nixzmary's teachers reported the abuse a couple of times. It was the NYC's childrens social services who dropped the ball. Geraldo last night on Bill O'Rielly's show said it was Dec 22 and they were to anxious to get off for their own Christmas holiday to follow through with the investigation. As a result a tiny angel is dead. She should have been removed after the first complaint, there was enough evidence to do so then.
This case was is so freaking obvious, this Robinson guy should spent a little time behind bars for not telling someone about what he saw and heard from the little girl.

We already dealt with this issue in the 1940's It only cost us about 400,000 good man and women
We already have social services to deal with "animals" like these. They simply have to do their jobs.

I could have been Mr. Robinson myself who was pretty much helpless in this situation knowing that something needed to be done but also fearful of the legal complexities of it all.
Just an innocent kind hearted bystander in life who will forever go to bed each night saying "if I would have just........"

Why do people who know this kind of thing is going on do nothing about it?
Don't they have a moratorium on the death penalty in NY?
Also shows the inadequacy of a culture that celebrates the breakup of the family to deal with the horrific results of the moral breakdown.
How many more times do we have to hear of cases where the "live-in" abuses children fathered by another man?
These men clearly see innocent children as a threat to their manhood, particularly in melting pot cultures.
The real father of this little girl reportedly said he wants to kill his daughter's killer.
And so the cycle of violence continues.
The entire extended family is now coming out of the woodwork including the "real father" who we now find out met the mother in a shelter when she was pregnant with this doomed child. He is not her birth father.
He has not been heard from in 5 years. Nor has he had contact with the 2 children he did father with this woman.
I think the whole bunch smells money and its hard for me to feel sorry for any in this case.
Mark my words...the city is facing a huge payoff in this case and the poor little child was payday.

More children are killed by their mothers' "boyfriends" than any other category of persons.
Bless your heart. We had a lot of trouble, including two miscarriages, before we were blessed with Tonto Junior. We were actively investigating adoption when we found out he was on his way.
Being a parent is our reason for existing. I will never understand why folks like us have so much trouble having children, and folks like these seem to have them at the drop of a hat.
If it were Vermont, he'd get 60 days.

Slain girl's namesake voices his rage ...
Too bad he was in prison. He's the father of the other two stepchildren. The so called mother needs to be sterilized.
Right now, Mr. Rodriguez's main concern should be finding and procuring the necessary amount of body armor he will need to survive each and every day of the remainder of his despicable existence while in the "general population".
I sure wish this little girl had been in your home. Doesn't make sense that women like her get pregnant if someone looks at them crosseyed, does it?
