NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Country singer Tim McGraw says he wants to run for office someday in his adopted home state of Tennessee _ perhaps for governor or U.S. senator _ and he's getting encouragement from a fellow Democrat, former President Clinton.
"I think he's got it," Clinton says of McGraw in an Esquire magazine story that hits newsstands Monday. "The Democrats need candidates whom people can relate to in a personal way, people who understand their lives and their concerns and share their values. And I think that's something Tim can do without even pretending."

I like that comment by Rush - he's so witty.
As for Clinton, well...

If he thinks Clinton was the best president we ever had, he's too stupid to be a governor. But definitely dumb enough to be involved in country alleged "music". Yee. Haw.

I've never heard a single thing McGraw has ever written or performed and judge the man on his merits, not on his abilty to make your heart go a'flutter.Ah, I see. You're going to base the entire judgement of a man's life by a few juvenile acts and a comment about a past president instead of the majority of his life. That's wise....

Tim McGraw is a dime store cowboy. Now, Chris LeDoux........, that's a real cow hand.
Tim would be the perfect liberal candidate. He's all show. On the day he was honored with an award for "Father of The Year" he and Kenny Chesney got arrested.
I used to enjoy some of his music, but my convictions don't stop at the radio dial. Dixie Chicks created wonderful music as well, but after the cowardly stunt they pulled in Europe, I stopped listening.
There are some things that are far more valuable than being entertained. Virtue and character should be some of these things.

A few facts need to be corrected:
Toby Keith = Democrat not Pubbie (but conservative)
Clint Black = Pubbie not rat
Hank Williams Jr. = Huge Liberal commie like Willie Nelson

Sigh. Another entertainer who believes his own publicity.

3) Sarah Evans (Her music wakes me up in the morning!)

Here's a fact - none of these guys are cowboys. They're singers. The cowboy hats are to hide their bald heads. You won't find cowboys in the CD department at WalMart.

Watch behind the music. Every man she was with up to Tim McGraw was a producer, She married a producer and then divorced him for a bigger fish.
If it walks like duck and quacks like one...
I'll take Shania Twain over her any day. At least she can stay married to the same man.

Hmmmm I didn't know she was married before, too bad
Faith & Tim are off my list

In the interview, Tim claims he was 11 or 12 and watched his mother crying over unpaid bills, then the next morning the VCR was gone. That would have been around 1980 and while many probably did have a VCR, they were not as common at that time and fairly pricey.
Tim's ability to connect his tragic childhood to half truths as facts makes him appear to be the perfect democrat.

I'm not judging his entire life. If I were you would see the following text first: "Here is My Judgement of BLAH BLAH's Entire Life:"
I judge the man based on his public actions. Based on those, he is a junior thief assistant, assaults police officers, and is an idiot. I stand by my statement.

So what would your statement be on an adulterer? An admitted drug user? Say an alcoholic? Some that are not even apologetic for their actions? One that accepts bribes? Because we can start the list right now of Republican politicians that have openly engaged in some or all of these actions. Not Republican supporters, but those who have been elected to office. Are they idiots as well? Or do they get a pass because they support the right 'team'?

Nobody gets a pass from me simply because he supports the right team. And I'm not even claiming what the right team is. I am stating that the Democrats are the WRONG team.
Adulterers are scum who cannot be trusted. If your spouse can't trust you to keep the most important promise you make in your life, why should I?
I may or may not have problems with admitted drug use. If you smoke dope in Amsterdam, that's your choice. I do have problems with people violating US laws, inclusive of laws with which I disagree. If you are a habitual user of heroin, I have a serious problem with your lack of judgement and recklessness.
I absolutely have a problem with alcoholism. It is a choice and not a disease.
I am less concerned about whether people apologize for their actions or not. Apologies from politicians by and large mean very little.
Bribery is not only immoral and a violatioin of the public trust, it is a felony.
Go ahead and list the Republican politicians who are adulterers, admitted drug users, alcoholics, unapologetic, and corrupt if you so chose. You will not find me supporting or defending them. I will happily sign a recall petition for all of them. I will gladly vote against them.
In answer to your question: YES, they are idiots as well. And OF COURSE they do not get a pass from me.
Your suggestion that I would give a pass to immoral criminals is an entirely irrational conclusion. How could you possibly infer from what I have written that I would be willing to overlook the transgressions you list in any person regardless of party affiliation?
On second thought, don't bother answering. This thread is tiresome. If you insist on defending your beloved bastard horse thief idiot crooner, please feel free to continue to do so. But do not be so foolish as to suggest that those who don't share your blind adoration are applying their condemnation unevenly between the charlatans, poltroons, and buffons of the various US political parties.
Warmest Regards,

Tim's ability to connect his tragic childhood to half truths as facts makes him appear to be the perfect democrat. And explains his admiration for BC as well.
