Schwarzenegger's re - election chances up
The Argus ^ | Jan. 13, 2005 | Steve Geissinger

A recent poll shows the born-again "moderate" Republican governor has gained back some popularity, especially in the Bay Area, and is now in a dead heat with Democratic competitors.

"Our survey demonstrates that Schwarzenegger's retreat from the more conservative rhetoric and agenda he brandished during the latter part of 2005 has paid off among middle-of-the road voters," said Melinda Jackson, director of the Survey and Policy Research Institute at San Jose State University.

The governor's job performance rating among voters in a Democrat-leaning state has climbed from 36 percent positive and 53 percent negative in September, to 40 percent positive and 51 percent negative this month.

If the bitter SAS extremists bashing Arnold here weren't so petty those ballot measures might have passed.

And the same group has claimed in thread elsewhere they have "big player" contacts in the Republican party. And they claim all sorts of "involvement", and that the CAGOP, and Conservatives "read FR" to get "ideas".

Ipso, they are to blame, also, for stealing Arnold's money for that special election, and thereby encouraging conservatives and Republicans to NOT vote in that election.

Of course, they won't come "clean" on any of their involvement on this matter.

CO: You post classic DU boilerplate. It's all anti-Arnold. And your opinion posts only add to, aid and abet the Class DU boilerplate. Some of your other pals claiming to be "uber, the real conservatives" pull the same stunts.

Not worth responding to; and because it's a shell game.

Black Elk: "Bustamente may be Hispanic but communist????? "

His involvement with La Meccha just isn't of any importance to you? I thought you might be against illegal immigration. How do you square this in your head, and to suggest Bustamante would be better than Arnold, etc.

The suffering of the RINOs will be exquisite and the suffering of California will be an inspiration to one and all.

Obviously, this makes you very happy.

You are no different than the Dems who do the same thing to President Bush.

That's a really clear, succinct way to describe what's been going on throughout all the CA threads I've seen these "real conservatives" posting on.

You've nailed it. It's the same game Dems and MSM play on President Bush. Thanks for the clarity.

Those that know me in the real world know what I am.

I'm in the real world, and yes I do know what you are: NOT, most definitely, NOT a conservative.

The media file to which I posted the link has the entire interview, but I guess that means nothing to you (if the link doesn't open directly, you can find it from this page and what do you know but that it's from Save187.com!). Then there's the list of quotes off Cedillo's State Senate site. Then there are the other quotes from FOG724 and calcowgirl.

Refute them all as a group with sourced facts (and not more stupid shrieking) or accept that you are being deliberately and dishonestly undermined by the Grovelnator. This shrill innuendo of yours is unworthy of your intelligence, however reflective of the depth of your true loyalties it might be.

That you would attack my posts demonstrating that Arnold is actively working to get a bill giving driver licenses to illegals shows you don't give a crap about Prop. 187. You're just posturing.

CO: You post classic DU boilerplate.

LMAO, it's the conservatives on this site who have lauded it.

It's all anti-Arnold.

No, it's not. There is a whole section of positives at the bottom. That's how lame he's been.

If you think the list is invalid, then refute it point by point. There's a good FReeper, you can do it!

And your opinion posts only add to, aid and abet the Class DU boilerplate. Some of your other pals claiming to be "uber, the real conservatives" pull the same stunts.

Yawn. You wouldn't even make a decent stooge for Nixon.

Not worth responding to; and because it's a shell game.

Oh no, a list of largely sourced facts isn't worth responding to, ESPECIALLY when you can sit on your lazy butt and yell!

Keep it up. You're earning goofball status here.

... It's high time I learned more about the enemy.

Therein lies the rub. You think your fellow conservatives are the enemy. But of course, you are disingenuous so maybe Republicans are your enemy.

They didn't hold their noses. Pete Wilson supported Prop 187 and 209, for example. You don't like him and because you aren't a conservative.

Hey Waspman! Looky here, a page out of the FairOpinion playbook! Now Alia wants to play "I get to decide who's a conservative!"

Pthththt.

Pete Wilson came out FRONT AND CENTER on Prop 187 (stopping freebies and benefits to illegal immigrants). Prop 187 WON by majority vote. Prop 187 cost Pete Wilson. And it cost him because of people like you. So, tell me.

As to whether 187 cost Pete Wilson, you're full of crap. Before the media campaign against it, the proposition was even supported by nearly two thirds of Hispanics. It assured conservative turnout and he won, despite his crooked dealings with MTBE and despite the way he was cutting the legs out from under the conservative base during his entire administration. Apparently you weren't here to listen to the beating he took from KSFO for his policies.

There was less material on the web back then, but if you keep this up, you know, I just might post a wad of it just to keep for a future means to demonstrate the power of your discourse.

How'd you vote on 187: With Pete Wilson or against Prop 187 -- or did you NOT vote on it and simply becaue Pete Wilson Supported It?

I voted for Proposition 187, and it wasn't that easy to get Pete Wilson to go along with it. He certainly blamed conservatives for what he thought it did to his Presidential chances, even though it was his weasely record that had him in trouble. Had it not been run, I really don't think he would have been re-elected at all.

Now you insult Nixon, further displaying your socialist roots ...

Let's see, you like Nixon...

Wage and price controls, Check!
Socialized environmental controls, Check!
Empowering China, Check!
Assuring the election of Jimmy Carter by getting stupidly paranoid about an election he had in the bag, Check!
Setting up the abandonment of Vietnam, Check!
Doing deals with the Russians (instead of taking them down the way Reagan did by decontrolling oil prices) Check!

Nixon was a closet socialist, a "moderate" Republican, just like your hero Arnold and just like you. I only wish Reagan had been able to undo more of the damage he did.

I reject border mania and, yes, the suffering of the RINO elites is always an exquisite source of pleasure because it always precedes their loss of control.

What I really despise is abortion and fudgie passions masquerading as legitimate. How do you FEEL about 50 million dead innocent babies?

California's suffering under the bipartisan Planned Barrenhood crowd is the dark before the dawn. The more serious the suffering, the more certain the ultimate victory of common sense even in California, the Rio Linda state, the La Jolla state.
