OH really? I bet the GOOD folks on FR would come up with something in seconds flat. And you'd have plenty of people lining up to administer the torture too. In my experience, folks on this forum don't mind degrading themselves or others one bit. And they'll go to great lengths to do it.
At least you admit that such "penalties" are, in fact degraded and degrading. That some folks might actually be willing to carry them out (who on here wants to bugger the perp?) is simply an indictment of them ... and evidence that sin is a real part of human nature. That doesn't mean we should celebrate it, encourage it, or make it a matter of public policy.
It's possible to rid ourselves of the evil, violent criminals amongst us without rewarding them or becoming like them.
