I think this approach will backfire. Best to deal with Murtha in the present, not the past.

I don't think this is a good idea. Hitler served with honor in WWI, but that doesn't mean something didn't jar itself loose upstairs, if you know what I mean. Just because Murtha served with honor in Vietnam doesn't make him the savior of our nation.

I don't think this line of argument is a good idea at all.
There are plenty of reasons to honor Murtha's service record AND to criticize his inconsistent and pro-defeat statement in the global war on terrorism.

Why do this? He's showing his true character now, just leave his mil service alone.

ROFLMAO...him and Kerry should get together and swap war stories. By the time they are done...they would have been both killed and raised from the dead.

The military decides what is and isn't worthy of a purple heart. Once that decision is made, I don't think it's up to the public to second guess. This is not a good idea.

That would be something if it could be proven that Murtha is as phony as Kerry concerning this subject.

He's proven he's a nutcase now while in office we got enough to go on - we don't need to go after his military service that will only backfire on us.

...according to the letter signed by an individual identified only as A. Gardoni. Gardoni's title is not listed on the letter. Ding! Ding! Ding! Huge red flag here, folks.
Has anyone who's ever been in the military ever seen a piece of official correspondence that didn't list the signer's title? I certainly never did.

Those accounts also appear to conflict with the limited military records that are available, and Murtha has thus far refused to release his own military records.Sheesh, is there not one actual hero in the who stupid Dim party?

What is the experience of people on this board who were awarded Purple Hearts? Did the military inform you that you were getting one or did you have to beg, like Kerry and Murtha?

As I suspected all along......you bet you were right to go there. Simple for him to prove....just sign a form 180....and let the truth be known. Anyone who refuses to do that can be doing nothing but hiding the truth....and at this point that appears to be the case.....
