I read Mila 18 by Leon Uris...absolutely stunning! all about the Warsaw ghetto and a very moving book...to think that the Jews in the ghetto held out against the elite German SS longer than the Polish army held out against the German Army....powerful stuff

I visited Poland in 1989 and the tour took us to where the old Ghetto had been. It is now a large park. It was amazing how many people the NAZIs crammed in to the Ghetto.
