well since the Germans were MIA when it came time to invade Iraq;
all I want to know is if Germany will support any actions against Iran?

otherwise they can keep their Mercedes...

The President looks very relaxed in Merkel's presence. He seems to have enjoyed himself a lot listening to the prime minister.

Besides being allies, it's good to see the two leaders have personal rapport.

Too bad she used a translator to speak to the American people. She's more likable than I thought.

It's interesting that they were late because Bush prolonged their private conversation (he said he had asked everyone else to leave the room while they talked.) Merkel speaks fluent English although she naturally chose to speak in German during the news conference. This is probably the beginning of a very good, cordial, frank, and cooperative relationship.
