“Though it is true that sometimes it is lawful to tolerate a lesser moral evil in order to avoid a greater evil or in order to promote a greater good," it is never lawful, even for the gravest reasons, to do evil that good may come of it (18)—in other words, to intend directly something which of its very nature contradicts the moral order, and which must therefore be judged unworthy of man, even though the intention is to protect or promote the welfare of an individual, of a family or of society in general.”

It would seem there are already human-rabbit hybrids. Look at the Senate Democrats, they already are totally hare-brained.

I thought the jellyfish/pig combo was very interesting in that it would 'highlight' certain genes as now the pigs are neon colored. Of course they are green in daylight too, but it's cool they glow in the dark, lol.

Seriously, that seems to be the most rational use so far for splicing species.

These people who do such things are not evil, really. They are just amoral. Right and wrong don't matter at all in their judgement of things. So they wind up doing evil things with no more reflection than you or I would use when turning on a light switch.

The only time they consider the moral implications of things is when they anticipate having to defend themselves against the "raving nutters", who are the people who have some shred of human decency left, for one reason or another.

I know people like this. They are very intelligent. They are fascinated by their work, love their children, and make a very good living. But they go down to the lab and do evil things, day after day. But they don't consider themselves evil. They consider themselves good.

They're still making a human embryo, despite the claim of using rabbit egg material. In time, the rabbits extranuclear protiens are degraded naturally replaced with human proteins...making a embryo composed of "complete" human cells. The efficiency of that natural process however, may be less than perfect.

Prof Wilmut said he believed a hybrid embryo should be treated as human by the HFEA. Asked about the moral objections of church groups and others, the scientist said: "A critical element in this is to recognise we would only be working at a very early stage with a maximum of 200 cells.

"I wouldn't think of a human embryo at that stage as being a person."

Demonstrating why the decision to perform these experiments is beyond the competence of scientists. Scientists have little or no proper training in ethics, philosophy, or theology.

The decision to perform these experiments is appalling.

A rabbit-human hybrid, eh?

Makes one wonder what Jimmuh Carter did with that rabbit - it begins to sound as though he may have attacked it with something other than his canoe paddle.
