There has been nothing extraordinary that has happened in the hearings so Leahy's earlier caveat is non-operable.

Leahy can't make promises for anybody but Leahy. It'll be a different DEM who demands the delay. If that happens, the delay will occur because the rules provide for it as a matter of right.
