Right.
The complaint for day 1 was that the Dems weren't 'aggressive' enough.
So day 2 was when they were in attack mode, when Kennedy had his rant with Specter, when Mrs. Alito left the room in tears, because the Dems seemed to feel they needed to ratchet things up.
On day 3 they seemed somewhat subdued, as if they had read the overnight polls and came off looking like donkeys' posteriors and decided to tone down the personal attacks.
It just wasn't too good for the Dems, all around.
Should another SC vacancy occur, we might see more fireworks to ensure a more liberal nominee. Providence might assist a couple of the elderly ones who, so far, refuse to retire.

I heard some loudmouthed Hollywood producer-type on some talk show this morning telling the host that: Alito was told to move his chair over a few feet so that Mrs. Alito could be seen (by the cameras) when she cried! He said the whole thing was staged.......... then, GET THIS, he finished by saying that REPUBLICAN Graham made her cry.
ROFL!!

I beg the difference. If another SC vacancy occur, Pres. Bush nominates another outstanding smart conservative and constructionist judge, we'll win again. Could you imagine if Harriet Miers sitting where Judge Alito sits at the same time is being grilled by the DIMs? The picture is not very pretty, is it?
