Then Mrs. Alito suffered a case of the weepies that was so dramatically well-timed and patently maudlin that I was reminded of the classic stage direction in Private Eye (takes out onion, wipes away tear), and suddenly the proceedings turned into a soap opera with Fox News commentators arriving on cue to deplore the toll taken on innocent bystanders in these brutal proceedings.

I was thinking this morning that the classic leftist defense of the democRAT bullies would be to accuse Mrs. Alito of staging the whole event.

The author failed to note that Graham went on to say, no, you are not a bigot. AND, he also seems to fail to comprehend that Graham was apologizing for what was very much like a Stalinist show trial in the farce questioning perpetrated by the democrats.
