The Bush administration can use friends like Mrs. Merkel in Europe. It should listen carefully to the first woman to become a major player on the German political scene, who has already displayed the potential to do likewise on the European scene. Worth to be repeated.

Well Michael we are not going to agree with you on this but then allies do not agree on everything. I am glad you are a Freeper and are willing to stick to your guns even when your view are unpopular. I just do not agree with your assumptions. You might want to branch out and read some of the Conservative blogs and media. What you are seeing in the Europe is basically presented from a political advocacy viewpoint. Take what you read with a large grain of salt, "Journalists" are advocates of a particular point of view NOT honest brokers of fact these days. Most of what you read in the European media is HIGHLY slanted. It's not false, just presented in a way to present ONLY one side of the issue.
