At Least McCarthy Had A Point

It seems that some people like to quote his book "The Naked Communist" while never mentioning his later follow up book "The Naked Capitalist". He believed the world was run by the Trilateral Commission, the Bank of England and various American "internationalists" like our current President's family. Simply put he was a charter member of the tin foil hat club, read it for yourself and tell me you cant see that.

Typical leftist smear of another good man. Funny how that tinfoil hat smear comes out against anti-communists. Skousen was a senior officer of the FBI, police chief of Salt Lake City and a full professor at Brigham Young University. I found the Naked Capitalist interesting in that Skousen points out that Oswald was a communist fellow traveler and that great effort was put forward to not make such a big deal out of that fact. In fact, the denizens of American Culture are still at it whether it's Ollie Stone's JFK or Clooney as Murrow, they still tow the party line. Face it, McCarthy drunk and paranoid, Skousen and his "tin foil hat", the "spurious" Wittaker Chambers and the rest were right. The were human beings with foibles. Big Deal. Don't make the Perfect the enemy of the Good.

And colleges of today teach what? Moral relativism. And "my truth is just as valid as your truth". By the time they are done with you, if you let them, you'd think that killing a murderer is worse than killing an innocent baby that's 90% born. You'd think that guns in the hands of law abiding citizens make the world more dangerous. And Abu 'Grab' is just as evil as Pol Pot and the Holocaust.

You would even think that no religion impedes science and research worse than Christianity. Oh and, Christianity would produce just as many terrorists as Islam if it weren't for the leadership of 'enlightened' atheists and pagans.

I take it anyone who disagrees with you is offering "leftist smear" ? Sorry we disagree but your author was a nut and thats quite clear from his writings, or perhaps you too are onto the true goals of the Rockefellers and the Queen of England? Maybe they were behind the Cuban/Mafia/Nixon/Gray Alien cabal that trained Lee Harvey Oswald?

In reality we defeated communism not by witch hunts and tawdry political stunts but by simply being the better system and having faith that good will triumph over evil. Kennedy and Reagan did not offer fear and paranoia in the face of communism, they offered optimism and courage - something a man like McCarthy couldnt summon.

Senator Kennedy has lost any remaining graveman or gravitas that he may have once possessed.

Thank you for proving my point. The left HAD to demonize McCarthy because he called communists evil, not because he drank too much, if that REALLY was what was bothering them Kennedy would never have gotten elected. You are equating McCarthy's accusations that we had communist infiltration in the upper echelons of our government with the John Birch Society's bizarre ramblings about the Queen of England. You're as bad as the so-called conservatives that blame McCarthy for the HUAC hearings. There is absolutely no connection whatsoever unless you want to tar all forms of anti-communism with the same brush. Where I come from we call that smearing. There simply is no excuse for it unless you have in fact accepted the leftist view of history which is wrong.
