Celebrating Gay Pride at HHS
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has sponsored a taxpayer-funded website that prominently features classic symbols of the pro-homosexual activist movement--an inverted triangle in rainbow colors with the word PRIDE above it. The website, dedicated to preventing alcohol and drug abuse, includes the admission that "lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are more likely to smoke, drink, and use other drugs than...non-lgbt peers."
Rather than warning that homosexual conduct is itself a significant health risk, the website blames society for the "high-risk choices" that homosexuals make, citing "homophobia," "heterosexism," and "stigma, alienation, and discrimination." The website also uses material from pro-homosexual activist groups such as the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) and Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), while ignoring groups with a different perspective, such as Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays (PFOX). Let HHS know that you don't want this kind of propaganda being supported by your tax dollars. You can e-mail Nancy Kennedy of the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention at nkennedy@samhsa.gov

How do they feel about an in depth report on GAY BOWL SYNDROME, or rampant CLYMIDIA and VAGINITIS in the lesbian community? Oh wait.. we're talking the Gooberment here eh?
Where is the Secretary of HHS, the one appointed by our conservative President Bush?
Not one thin dime from this conservative.
Do I refuse to pay my taxes now or should I pay them and hire a lawyer to sue the government for gross misapropriation of funds?
OK, gay people and queer guys ~ lissen' up real good. NO BEER!
Our right wing gubbmint is sure hurting the sodomites and the rest of the so called oppressed.
Isn't it against the law for a government agency to suggest that homosexuals drink and smoke and have other bad habits more frequently than normal people? I thought that was a hate crime. Maybe if you carry around a pink triangle that immunizes you from prosecution?
Fudgecicle bump...
I'd be banned or get arrested for threats if I wrote what I was thinking... Gotta say goodnight and go read something light hearted or I'll explode.
Goodnight...
HHS Secretary is Mike Leavitt. Anyone know his email address??? I'm sure he would hate for his mailbox to be overflowing with complaints about this web site.
Episcopal Priest Says Citizens Must Understand What Homosexuals Do to Each Other
Homosexuals should all be in rehab. I'm not usually that blunt, but I've had it. Homosexuality is nothing but finding comfort with the same sex and becoming addicted to it - just like a drug addict becomes addicted to what allows him/her to not face reality and fear.

I let them know that I didn't appreciate them wasting my tax dollars, particularly on such an unhealthful lifestyle.
Oh, I suppose they have labeled me as a homophobe, which by definition, I'm not. Fear? Nope. Irrational dislike? Oh, it's pretty rational. They might not like the rationale, but that's just tough.
And here is my personal favorite. After talking about how gays are more likely to take to drugs, alcohol, and suicide, we get this little number about the importance of labeling people as "heterosexists":
"It is important to use this term because it shifts the "problem" from the LGBT individual to society and helps LGBT persons understand that it is not their "fault" others don't accept them."
Geez, liberalism at its finest, laid out in plain sight. Remove any sense of personal accountability, shift the blame to everyone else, and call them names. That's it. Social liberalism, economic liberalism: that's the steaming load of it all.

I notice the website is not actually a .gov website; but a .org
