It seems hotels are exempt from the ban also as long as no more than 20% of the rooms are set aside for smoking. Better then nothing, I guess.

20% - 25% of hotel rooms being able to be set aside as smoking rooms is pretty standard under these bans.
The private clubs, like the Kingihts, Legions, VFWs, etc rally have me .........they are even MORE private than the private bars and restaurants this covers.

Hotels know that once a room is a smoking room that non smokers won't stay in it anymore. I have seen people turn down the last room in a hotel because of the smell. On a cold snowy night in northern Michigan I was the 5th person in line to give thumbs down to a stinky smoking room.
