Here's a listing for LA media outlets. Nothing yet on the few I checked.

Still nothing online. Weird. I really did not imagine it. They did say FOUND and SEVERAL, which really perked up my ears.

Is it near Seal Beach Weapons Station? Yes, very. I am getting really curious about this.

The story is that it was a couple of blasting caps. Not a big deal, except that I have to wonder why they were there and how they were found.
For those who don't know- a blasting cap is basically a professional-grade firecracker, and is used to set off larger charges.

I will say that it's very close to a large Naval Base. The base you refer to is the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station and is not a base where ships are docked or stationed for long periods of time.
Weapons is the keyword.
Long Beach Naval Shipyard is about 10-15 miles north

I would think all those LA news station choppers would be on the story ASAP.

Won't be covered today. The MSM will be too busy digging dirt about conservative clubs at Prineton 30 years ago.
To: WestCoastGal
We will have to wait for the top of the hour, I guess. This reminds me of the story that a plane was shot at over LAX, and even the radar showed it up, but it never became a story for the MSM.

Turned out to be just a partially-submerged upside-down Oldsmobile. Move along.

Yes, we tried really hard to find out more info on that and the story just disappeared.
Someone mentioned another laser incident at LAX the other day as well.
Many odd happenings going on that we can't figure out. At least we're not completely naive as everyone was before 9-11. Closer scrutiny is warranted these days on odd stories.
