The television show of many years ago Hill Street Blues did the balancing act between the absurd and the mundane in multiple storylines really well. Guys without much talent have been trying to copy it for years without success.

You know, I have that problem too.

Over the last ten year, many shows that I've liked have been cancelled.

Maybe I should watch it and put some bad luck on it.

You seem to be baggin' on the Sgt Major for comments he made on other posts and that is classless of you. Take it from me, one who jumps on ranters, one who even has his favorite set of ranters to jump upon, don't bag on someone unless his words can be used. Right now you appear to be a punk with a chip on your shoulder.

"bad ratings will kill it "

I hope you're right! But, remember that "West Wing" has always had poor numbers and it's still on and winning awards!

I agree with what most others are saying, let the show die all by itself. Why bring media attention to a show that will be lucky to last a month? I actually watched the thing and I think it's pretty safe to say it won't last. It's brutally bad.

The one thing that really did make me laugh was the catholic priest having mob ties.........I'm catholic by the way.

> The only thing that surprises me is that HBO didn't run the show first.

Apparently it isn't good enough for HBO.

No tv show about a dysfunctional family will top Married with Children.

how about just not watching the program and let it kill itself? I'm not against boycotts. I am against going around trying to prevent people (adults) from seeing things I don't want them to see. Let individual Americans make their own choices.
