Abortion, if overturned, will also be a state's rights issue. I would be willing even to settle for that even though I disagree with it vehemently and consider it murder. Do you think the pro choicers would be willing to compromise like that? I doubt it. In which case, who are the extremists?

I have a feeling the pro-life states would eventually have a larger population (and more electoral votes) than the pro-abort states.

For now the pro aborts can concentrate on funding a few dem politicians. If it goes to the states they will be having to buy off thousands of politicans in every state.
It's all about money for the pro aborts.
