Sometimes it's hard to find a ray of light in the American judicial system, but once in a while the sun comes shining through. In a shocking display of clarity and common sense, a federal appeals court judge ruled last month that the Ten Commandments may remain on a wall in a Mercer County, Kentucky courthouse.
The case concerned a display entitled, "Foundations of American Law and Government," which, in addition to the Commandments, also includes; the Mayflower Compact, the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights, the Preamble to the Kentucky Constitution, the Magna Carta, the Star-Spangled Banner, Lady Justice, and the National Motto "In God We Trust."

Reagan got it right with this guy.
----
Yes he did. It was a habit of his, being right. Which just drove the libs crazy...since all their hair-brained, idiotic accusations about Reagan were also all wrong. No surprise though, it is what the Dems are all about -- against anyone and anything, even if it is right for America.
True, but don't forget that while Judge Richard Suhrheinrich wrote the opinion, two others concurred.
But what surprises me is that since this decision came down on DEC 20th it has received almost ZERO coverage. It was posted here on the 21st (IIRC) and since then not one MSM rag has covered it and I think this is 'HUGH' news as the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals covers MI, OH, KY & TN.
Another somewhat odd thing is that the parts of the decision quoted in the article are EXACLY what I keep posting every time its appropriate to a thread (page 13 of 14 in the decision). Hmm, I wonder if Lisa Fabrizio is a Freeper and saw my posts??? Not that I care, I'm just glad that someone in Journalism is aware of what went down in the 6th Circuit and is spreading the word.
That being said, I think Lisa missed another 'money quote' from the Judge, to wit:
"Our concern is that of the reasonable person. And the ACLU, an organization whose mission is "to ensure that the government [is kept] out of the religion business", does not embody the reasonable person. Now IMO that is a 'slap down' and a personal one to boot.
