Blacks continue to vote for libs because they believe that the promise of freebies will make their lives better. But instead they have become more dependent, lower test scores, more drugs, less intact families, more abortions, more crime, etc......
Wake up and quit acting like the "diversity/tolerance" manager on this board - race matters and the libs will continue to seperate us by race if minorities continue to believe their lies and hate. Ignoring it is exactly the wrong take - that is what has allowed the country to become so fractioned in the first place - the libs make an issue of it to their advanatage and Republicans act like we are above it. Hate groups like la raza, NAACP, la mecha and NAZI should be villified but instead we praise the "minority" racist groups.

If we look at the voting statistics it indicates that Blacks coould care less about good schools, stopping abortion or reducing welfare... the main thing driving them to vote is hate/distrust and freebies as spewed by libs and the media.

Actually you need to update you "knowledge" and remove the racist veiws. For your information, blacks care about what kind of education and future their kids have too. It shows up in polls and surveys. Then again, thinking a black person is subhuman, as you infer - this news is not good news for you.

If so, we will repent at leisure. The single biggest mistake that the GOP can make is to listen, even momentarily, to the likes of Tancredo over Dubya. Border manics are NOT going to write this history. Tancredo will be easonably portrayed as the Pitchfork Ben Tillman of our times. Buchanan risks being viewed as Pitchfork Tom's brain. There is a national Latino group (National Latino Coalition????) which is reasonably conservative, pro-business, socially conservative and uses GOP pollster John McLaughlin. The president of the group held a press conference last week to announce results of extensive polling done by McLaughlin.
For the purposes of this discussion, two findings stand out. First: according to this study, Dubya got fully 50% of the overall Hispanic vote in 2004. Given the numbers of Puerto Rican voters and their strong Demonrat leanings, this means that Mexicans and other Latin Americans vote a reasonable majority REPUBLICAN. The Republicanism of the Mexicans is leavened somewhat by the heavier Republicanism of the Cuban-Americans, but, if McLaughlin's analysis is correct, non-Cuban, non-Puerto Rican Hispanic voters still voted majority GOP.
The group leader, at the press conference, observed that the vote of those whose ancestry is south of our border has been going well for the GOP but that there is one way to interrupt that and send them into Demonrat ranks and that is to make it clear that they are unwelcome here and in the GOP.
It is the ongoing history of the Republican Party (except under Reagan and Dubya) to repeat again and again and again the same mistakes with ethnic immigrants. While the GOP's Know Nothing element started by resisting Irish immigration (PJB's ancestry is Presbyterian Scots-Irish and not Catholic Irish) and referencing the Democratic Party of 1884(?) (which gained the Irish because of GOP stupidity) as the party of Rum (oh, those clever Republican ministers!), Romanism (in case the public did not get the point) and Rebellion (apparently because Irish immigrants did not feel they had a horse in the Civil War), it continued by alienating Jews, Italians, Poles and just about every EuroEthnic group. Eurofolks are in short supply nowadays among immigrants of whatever legality but some folks STILL need to exercise those anti-immigrant Know Nothing muscles by bashing Latinos coming here to replace the 50 million innocents wantonly slaughtered by "legalized" abortion over the last 32 years.
Anyone who yearns for a return of the Junior League GOP, the yacht club GOP, the polo club GOP (the anti-Rum, Romanism and Rebellion GOP) will be encouraging the new Know Nothings. It is their moment as we have been suffering ethnic blue collar anemia as a nation. It is such a moment in history that the descendants of Roman Catholic immigrants are fronting for these groups and make up a not inconsiderable percentage of the rank and file manics.
Demonrats want the border mania to succeed because it drives the Hispanics (who are coming anyway) into their arms. All they have to do is shut up while the GOP-leaning border manics blow their brains out.
90% of blacks vote Demonrat. Blacks are 12% of the population. Hispanics are already at least 13% of the population. We have to take 2/3 of the rest. That rest includes a substantial group of committed envirowhackos, feminazis, pacifist Euroweenies, worshippers of Joseph Stalin, the aging Americong, International ANSWER, the ACLU, publick skewel teachers, bureaucrats, recipients of higher "education" welfarist schemes and propaganda, and other misedjamakashuners, or other people who feel a sense of almost sexual excitement over gummint spending? That names just a few of the groups who are permanently beyond the GOP's reach.
Hispanics are the exploding American demographic group. Mere laws will not change that. They are socially conservative, upwardly mobile in economics (they have no place to go but up). We can and ought to try to make inroads into the black vote but that vote is far more entrenched in Demonratic ranks than are Demonrat Hispanics.
What does PJB advocate in the face of these numbers? Why, let's pander to the permanently enraged border moonbats, of course. This shows the political keenness that has made PJB such a power in the GOP and in the nation. When recently there was a Congressional primary to succeed Christopher Cox in Southern California, one of the border demagogue "leaders" got a big 25% even in perpetually enraged California.
PJB is a good guy and a social conservative but, as Antoninus has observed, has become a "fatalistic grumpy old man" (see #29) on this subject.
There are many reasonable ways to deal with the perceived "crisis." Border enforcement is not a practical one.
Nevertheless, I am ready to concede that border mania will be the GOP's refuge in 2006 and that it may result in the GOP retaining both houses via cynicism.
If the GOP gamble fails, the GOP should prepare for its political Siberia in January, 2007. If the gamble succeeds in 2006, then the GOP exile will begin on January 21, 2009: "Ms. Clinton, do you solemnly swear....." One man, one vote, one election/ the Attorney Generalship of Shakes the Stalinist Clown II/ Vice-President Kucinich/ Secretary of Defense Ramsay Clark/ Secretary of State George Soros/ Surgeon General Dr. YEEEEEEARRRRRRRGH formerly of Vermont and still more formerly of Manhattan, etc.
It may well be that only Israel can save us now. If the Israeli government believes Iranian moonbat in chief Ahmadinejad (or however he spells it) and takes seriously the combination of his messianic determination to acquire and deploy nukes and his public commitment to "wipe Israel off the map," Bibi Netanyahu may well celebrate his swearing in as Prime Minister by announcing at his inaugural that Israeli bombers have returned Iran to the pre-nuclear age. In that event, we will have a lot more mandatory and worthwhile things to do with our all too scarce American troops than worrying about border crossings from Tijuana. Things like Syria and Israel getting it on at the dawn of a new world war. In that event, with a newly focused national mind (surveying the multiple mushroom clouds in the Middle East), the American voting public will see to it that our survival will not depend on either Demonrat surrender monkeys or Bush the Elder's moderate GOP establishment Kissingerian pantywaist diployakyak artists but on Dubya's action-oriented military and policy team.
