No. Not even close.
In the last five years, on issues related to spending reform, limited government and immigartion reform, the GOP led by GW Bush has taken two steps forward and three steps back. That is no way to run a political party. The GOP has abandoned conservatives principles and instead have chosen to govern like big government Republicans.
Right now the best the GOP has to offer is Senator George Allen. At least he's worth a look. When 2008 rolls around, don't be surprised to see John McCain leading the pack of candidates for the Oval Office.
