There was also a glacial dam that broke in Idaho/Washington of similar size, at about the same time. (the name of that event escapes me) but the "Lake Iroquois" event has been well documented for 100 years.

There was also a glacial dam that broke in Idaho/Washington of similar size, at about the same time. (the name of that event escapes me) Missoula lake. The flooding created the scab lands in Washington state. Apparently it broke and reformed several times.

You are referring to Glacial Lake Missoula. It was a tiny fraction of the size of the lake referred to in the article. I've seen an artist's rendering of this lake, and it covered most of Saskatchewan, Manitoba, North Dakota, and parts of Alberta, Minnesota, and South Dakota. It was huge.
