IN other words, until the authorities were sure these kids weren't going to attempt to break into the base for nefarious reasons, they were treated accordingly. Sounds fine to me.In other words, in your ideal Security State, we're all guilty till proven innocent. You disgust me.

We are at war. People have broken into bases before to sabotage weapons in their protests. The mil need to be sure if someone is a threat or not when they'll be right at their gates.
You're walking down the street. You hear a bunch of teens 10 steps behind you, loud and boisterous, and directing comments at you. Do they mean you harm?

Guilty? Who was arrested? Who was jailed? Who was tried? Who was convicted? No one. You need to be more precise in your language. There have been many incidents in which protestors have attempted to gain illegal access to military installations; the government is just protecting the security of those installations by doing routine checks on people who present themselves at the gates without legitimate business.

Hey buddy, there's a war on. And, it started when we got attacked. I guess you just hate the efforts we make in the interest of winning.
